Description: The Managing Editor will supervise the day-to-day operations of our publication. As Managing Editor, you will be responsible for editing and scheduling reviews and editorials following a monthly publication schedule. Additionally, you will assist our News Lead with editing and publishing pending articles.Your duties will include: Edit and schedule reviews and editorials following a monthly publication schedule, attend Review/Editorial team meetings once a month, update the Review/Editorial Monthly Planner and Trello, assist in editing and publishing news articles, report to the COO.Requirements: Experience in an editor or writing position, ability to work on strict deadlines, proven managerial skills, desire to work within a team environment, familiar with AP Style, passion for video games, desire to learn.Education: High School Diploma, relevant training and demonstrated skills aligned to the job requirements.

Description: Staff Writers provide daily news coverage on our website. As a Jr. Staff Writer you will be providing the website with accurate, up-to-date news articles daily. This position is aimed at newcomers to the world of video game journalism, where you will have the opportunity to ask questions, learn and practice your skill.Your duties will include: Collecting and analyzing newsworthy events in gaming, writing objective, factual articles, finding relevant images and/or videos, reporting pending articles. This position reports directly to the Managing Editor.Requirements: Minimum 1 year of experience in writing, we are willing to train the right candidates. The Event Reporter position is specific to the different competitions and games in Esports today. In this position writers will be covering major tournaments and events, reporting on specific titles. Writers must have an in-depth knowledge of the title, teams, and players.Your duties will include: Writing detailed tournament coverage and submitting it within a timely manner, doing in-depth research on titles, teams, and players, finding relevant images and/or videos that correlate with the article, occasionally attend Esports events for coverage and interviews.Requirements:  Minimum 1-2 years in journalism, proven knowledge on a specific game, and its competitive scene, a love for Esports and video games.Education:  High School Diploma, relevant training and demonstrated skills aligned to the job requirements.

 

 

The Editorial Writer position has a much more specific focus and requires a more in-depth knowledge and understanding about specifics in Esports. In this position writers will be creating content that is more topical, some examples include “what exactly the WESA could spell for the industry,” “how ESL has a tight grip on Esports,” “rookies with the most potential,” etc.Your duties will include: Coming up with creative ideas for editorials, doing in-depth research on the topic, finding relevant images and/or videos that correlate with your editorial, report to the Esports Team Manager.Requirements: Minimum 1-2 years in journalism, proven knowledge of the Esports arena, creative and critical thinking abilities, a love for Esports and video games.Education: High School Diploma, relevant training and demonstrated skills aligned to the job requirements

This position is specific to covering Esports news exclusively and the ideal candidate will be familiar with several titles as you will cover news on games like Smash, Dota, StarCraft, Halo, etc. Your duties will include: collect and analyze newsworthy events in gaming, writing objective, factual articles, find images and/or videos that correlate with your article, report pending articles to the Managing Editors.Requirements: Minimum 1 year of experience in writing, we are willing to train the right candidates. Description: The Stream Team at Gaming Access Weekly provides live streams on the Gaming Access Weekly Mixer channel. Each Streamer is responsible for providing a minimum of one stream per week for a minimum of two hours to the Gaming Access Weekly channel. Streamers are allowed to stream longer if they so choose and it does not conflict with another streamers scheduled slot.Your duties will include: Updating the Trello schedule with the day, time, and game you are playing, promote the stream via social media, stream once a week on the Gaming Access Weekly channel for a minimum of two hours, engage viewers with entertaining conversations, notify team leads of changes in schedule and availability.Requirements: Proper PC streaming equipment, previous experience streaming, outgoing personality, familiarity with several types of games, a love for gaming.Education: Relevant experience and demonstrated skills aligned to the job requirements.
