During a segment of the Xbox and Bethesda showcase highlighting Xbox’s commitment to bringing Japanese creators to the system, Xbox head Phil Spencer officially announced that Hideo Kojima’s next game would be on Xbox.

The announcement didn’t get into any details about Kojima’s next game, though rumors have been making their way around. It appears as though Kojima Productions has multiple games in the works right now, as Norman Reedus recently stated that Death Stranding 2 is in development. It’s unknown if this title is the rumored Overdose, starring Margaret Qualley (Mama in Death Stranding).

Kojima did say that this title is one that he has always wanted to make. He finished the announcement by adding that “it may take some time, but I hope to bring you some exciting news in the future.

What do you hope Kojima Productions is working on for the Xbox? Let us know in the comments.
