Solo developer, It’s Happening and publisher Yogcast Games are combing restaurant management with rogue-lite in PlateUp!.

Players will need to manage a chaotic kitchen and manage the restaurant with the planning and development of further dishes. Up to 4 players can join in the action from choosing dishes, buying appliances, and developing your location from scratch.

Players will have free rein on how to design their restaurant that can be experienced locally, solo, or online. Everything is randomized with streamer options where viewers can vote on in-game events or help players on stream.

“I’ve seen first-hand the impact that content creators make to the visibility of PlateUp!,” says Alastair Janse van Rensburg, It’s Happening, “so I am overjoyed to be working with Yogscast Games and the Yogscast network to bring PlateUp! through to launch. The game has been a true labour of love since I started it last year and being able to lean on their publishing and broadcasting expertise is a genuine thrill. I can’t wait to get the game into players’ hands this Summer.”

“Alastair is creating an extraordinary game,” adds Simon Byron, Director of Publishing, Yogscast Games. “It brings fresh innovation to the cooking game genre, offering a chaotic cooking and serving experience alongside roguelike and empire building elements. It’s as fun to watch as it is to play and therefore fits perfectly within the Yogscast Games portfolio. It’s already one of the top 1,000 most Wishlisted games on Steam – and I can’t wait to throw the full weight of our publishing and marketing expertise behind it in order to propel it to even greater success.”

PlateUp! will be launching on PC this summer. For more information, follow @YogscastGames on Twitter.
