Today Square Enix announced they are extending the demo for Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin until May, with all progress carrying over if you purchase the game.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin has been met with mediocre to negative reception. Many find the visuals, boss fights, and job system as positive features especially during multiplayer dungeon crawling. This complemented with the fast-paced combat allows for dynamic encounters, especially with friends.

Many have cited the game’s lack of exploration and repetitive design as many issues. Players will often have to engage in the same simple objectives in smaller versions of existing areas. Such as going through the same dungeon in reverse but now having to kill specific targets. The end-game focuses on grinding out more resources to just take on harder challenges with little incentive.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is now available for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC.
