On Tuesday morning, Electronic Arts took to Twitter to announced not one, not two, but three Star Wars-related projects in the works for Respawn Entertainment. Read more and pass on what you’ve learned: https://t.co/pKZFHqDA1W pic.twitter.com/n1byCzaDtL — EA Star Wars (@EAStarWars) January 25, 2022 Respawn, known best for the Titanfall universe (including Apex Legends), and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, will be working on the next game in the Jedi series, a first-person shooter, and a strategy game in collaboration with new studio Bit Reactor. Bit Reactor will lead the development of the strategy game, while Respawn takes on a producing role. For the next game in the Jedi series, Stig Asmussen is returning as Game Director, and according to EA’s press release, his team is already hard at work in the game. The first-person shooter game will be led by Peter Hirschmann, who recently served as Game Director on Respawn’s VR game Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order first launched in 2019 and received next-gen patches in June 2020 General manager and Founder of Respawn, Vince Zampella, is excited to keep their partnership with Star Wars alive. “We are huge fans of Star Wars here at Respawn and we’re thrilled to work with Lucasfilm Games on new titles that we have wanted to make for years.” It also sounds like the studio will be expanding its hiring efforts, adding, “If you want to make great Star Wars games, you should come join us on our journey.” What are you hoping to see from these new games?
