For those apocalyptic explorers still travelling the multiplayer wastelands, Bethesda is giving you new, free content. Yesterday, Bethesda announced the release of Fallout Worlds.

Fallout Worlds, available for Fallout 76, offers players the tools and flexibility to create, customize, and explore Appalachia like never before. Fallout Worlds will be introducing two new modes: Custom Worlds for Fallout 1st members and Public Worlds  which are available to all Fallout 76 players.

Fans that are Fallout 1st members will be able to invite up to seven friends to the new Custom Worlds. This mode will allow players to access a full laundry list of gameplay settings and modifiers to truly make Appalachia their own. Players will be able to change everything from combat rules and the C.A.M.P. restrictions to weather effects and unique visual filters. A small sample of these settings include:

  • Proximity Spawner – Players can now infinitely spawn creatures around them during your game be it for target practice or just taking a minigun and mowing them down..
  • Happy Builder – Build to your heart’s content and construct platforms and structures in otherwise inaccessible areas and change height limit on settlements.
  • Unlimited Ammunition – You’ll be able to combine not only unlimited ammo but also a no reload mode for a constant and endless stream of destruction.
  • Weather Effects Controller – Control the environment by enabling fog, nuclear radiation, rain, or even Quantum Storms.
  • Personalized Gameplay – Some players have had some issues with the PvP part of Fallout76 so this will change the rules and difficulty settings.
  • Gravity Settings – Enable everything from ragdoll physics to changing your jumping heights. You’ll even be able to turn off fall damage.

For the new Public Worlds mode, all Fallout 76 players can experience this for free. This was a mode that was curated and hand-crafted by the team at Bethesda Game Studios. Public Worlds showcases a slice of the possibilities and experiences powered by the various customization tools within Custom Worlds. Public Worlds will be available to all players as a rotating series of uniquely themed Fallout Worlds, each highlighting a new combination of settings available in Custom Worlds.

In case you were wondering whether playing on Public Worlds or Custom Worlds will affect your Adventure mode, It wont. You will be able to import your character from Adventure mode, however, progression in either Custom or Public Worlds remains separate from Adventure mode

After coming out back in 2018, Fallout 76 has had a mixed reception from fans and reviewers alike. Giving the players control of literally everything in the game like Bethesda’s version of Garry’s Mod may be the hype they need to bring a brand new audience to Fallout 76.

Bethesda also had some extra news for fans. Available today for all players is a brand-new season, The Unstoppables! vs The Diabolicals, featuring a new seasonal progression board with tons of rewards to earn.
