Bandai Namco gave fans a brand new look at the characters in Tales of Arise and their abilities in this trailer from the Summer Game Fest kickoff event today. Take a look below.

The seventeenth main entry in the Tales series was originally planned to release in 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, but was delayed to September 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the trailer also gave us a new release date.

The game follows two people from the opposing worlds of Dahna and Rena:

“For 300 years, Rena has ruled over Dahna, pillaging the planet of its resources and stripping people of their dignity and freedom.

Our tale begins with two people, Alphen and Shionne, born on different worlds, each looking to change their fate and create a new future.

Featuring a diverse cast of characters, intuitive and rewarding combat system, and a captivating story set in a lush world worth fighting for, Tales of Arise delivers a first-class JRPG experience.”

Tales of Arise will be headed to PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S on September 10th 2021.
