Battlefield 1 was one of the lowest reviews games in the popular franchise. Releasing with limited content and the post-launch period did not go well. EA and DICE are now seeking to revive the series and return Battlefield to its former glory by moving forward, literally. With Battlefield 2042 coming this October 22nd. A huge cinematic trailer was released showing the return of Levolution. A feature introduced in Battlefield 4 where the map drastically changes due to outside elements or player interaction. The trailer showing off a huge windstorm and a player using a wingsuit to escape. A gameplay trailer is set for June 13th so everything shown is just pure animation. We’ll have to see how the studio plans to use these incredible features when in active matches. EA and DICE did confirm some details such as the game launch for current and last generation systems. The PS5 and Xbox Series versions of the game will get a massive upgrade, with 128 player battles and PS4 and Xbox One versions getting 64 player battles. Seeing this is double the player count I wonder how they plan to balance this. The other huge reveal is that no single-player will be included at launch. So we have another Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 on our hand. Battlefield 2042 launches on October 22nd for Xbox One, Xbox Series, PS4, PS5, and PC.
