Twitch has a lot of issues but the most recent is the significant rise in bot accounts. With Twitch purging more than 7.5 million accounts. 🛡️ We have been monitoring the rise of fake engagement on Twitch and have identified 7.5MM+ accounts that break our TOS by follow-botting and view-botting. We are taking action on these accounts and appreciate all of the reports about this issue. — Twitch Support (@TwitchSupport) April 14, 2021 This does sound like a good thing but realize this is Twitch, a platform with a notorious history of banning individuals randomly. With recent accounts being banned for being opened at 13 or younger despite the person being an adult now. Other bannable offenses included the word simp and obese and music even if it’s part of a video game. Twitch has not provided context to avoid the overflowing of bot accounts. Most importantly Twitch has yet to comment on the recent allegations that certain users are using the platform to send links to adult industry content.
