Those familiar with the Resident Evil franchise are aware that the games have incredibly brutal deaths. Despite the Japanese origins of Capcom and the franchise, the titles have been censored regarding certain aspects. Which will continue with Resident Evil Village.

In accordance with CERO, the JP rating system, Resident Evil Village will not include:

Decapitations

Less Blood

This has been standard in all JP releases. Many Resident Evil 4 fans will likely know about the gruesome decapitations from the Chainsaw enemies, which were censored in the JP release of the game and all re-releases.

The EU and NA versions of the game will remain unchanged.

Resident Evil Village launches on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC this May 7th.
