You may have heard the news that Mediatonic is joining the Epic Games family! You can read the announcement at the Epic Games Newsroom. This is a huge win for Fall Guys. Since Fall Guys broke out in August, we’ve put everything we have into the game, and the Fall Guys team has already grown massively from 35 to 150+. Yet, there is so much more we want to build for our players. With our publisher Devolver Digital supporting and championing us along the way with Fall Guys, Foul Play and Hatoful Boyfriend, we’ve been able to bring some truly unique experiences to players as an independent studio. Joining forces with Epic will accelerate our plans to improve the game and bring Fall Guys to as many players as possible, while continuing to support the community. Tow this doesn’t mean that Fall Guys is being taken off Steam similar to Rocket League. Devolver Digital is still the publisher of Fall Guys and the developers have assured fans that they will continue support for all versions of the game. However, those hoping for a free-to-play version the developer did not deny it could happen. This means that Epic Games owns the top developers in live service games. With Psyonix’s Rocket League and their own game Fortnite. While Epic has no say in Fall Guys future the reputation of the developer will carry a degree of excitement for their next game.
