Resident Evil Village is the next massive title from the critically acclaimed Resident Evil franchise. With Capcom hosting a huge event showcasing the future of the IP. Including the release date, demos, and multiplayer mode of Resident Evil Village.

The game will launch this May 7th alongside the last generation versions. Capcom confirmed that PS4 and Xbox One users will get the game. In addition, 2 demos are planned. The first one called Maiden is now available on PS5 and the next one will launch in Spring on all platforms.

The multiplayer mode is called Resident Evil Re:Verse. It’s similar to the Heroes Mode in Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City where players take control of their favorite character and battle. Not a lot of information was provided but Claire, Leon, Jake Baker, Nemesis, Mr. X, HUNK, and Jill Valentine has been confirmed for the mode.

As for the main game Ethan is a more seasoned warrior this time around. Capable of more melee options and will have access to new weapons such as a rifle. Ethan will be aided by a merchant called The Duke who will sell Ethan new items are a price. This isn’t the only Resident Evil 4 feature returning as the inventory system from Leon’s journey will be featured here as well.

Special pre-order bonuses are available starting today including special editions of the game.

Pre-orders for Resident Evil Village start today, with options for digital and physical Standard and Deluxe Editions and a physical Collector’s Edition. The Deluxe Edition includes the base game and a digital “Trauma Pack,” which consists of additional in-game content including a Samurai Edge weapon, Resident Evil 7 biohazard inspired found footage screen filter and tape recorder save point options, immediate access to an especially challenging difficulty setting, and more. The physical Collector’s Edition includes the digital Deluxe Edition content plus a striking statue of franchise veteran Chris Redfield, a SteelBook case, art book, and a cloth map of the village with key art printed on the reverse side.
