Cyberpunk 2077’s launch is one of the most infamous game launches in history. A large scale title heavily marketed as a huge groundbreaking video game that launched in a broken state. The last generation versions were near unplayable and Sony went as far as to delist the game. Microsoft is still offering full refunds and certain retailers as well. Co-Founder Marcin Iwinski of CD Projekt RED officially apologized on video about the game’s launch.

Iwinski opened to explain that the decision to release Cyberpunk 2077 in the state it was in was management’s choice. The developers went not involved in the decision. In addition, Iwinski went on to explain that the pandemic and how the game was designed led to major issues. Such as making the game with PC in mind first then moving down.

Iwinski concluded by providing a timeline on future updates and the team is working hard on ensuring that Cyberpunk 2077 delivers the experience promised.

Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PS4 (Physical), PS5 (Physical), Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC.
