Today Nintendo confirmed that The Crown Tundra, the second expansion for Pokemon Shield and Sword, will launch this October 22nd. With a brand new bundle containing the expansions and the core game this November 6th.

The expansion will bring a new region to explore, all previous legendary Pokemon in the franchise, and Dynamax Adventures. In this mode, 3 trainers enter a dungeon with a pool of selectable Pokemon. Inside you’ll find powerful  Dynamax Pokemon that all 3 trainers will have to work together to capture.

In addition, Niantic Lab’s Pokemon GO will now be integrated with Pokemon HOME starting “soon”. This was confirmed back in February but no expected release was provided. Nintendo and Niantic have now confirmed the service will launch before the end of 2020.

Plans for Pokémon GO integration with Pokémon HOME were announced back in February, and we know that you’ve been eagerly awaiting a status update on this feature. We’re excited to announce that Pokémon GO integration with Pokémon HOME will be available later this year!

When this integration goes live, limited-time events will be happening in Pokémon GO, featuring particular Pokémon. You will be able to activate the Mystery Box after you send a Pokémon to Pokémon HOME from Pokémon GO, and if you open the Mystery Box during the celebration event, you’ll have a chance of encountering a Shiny Meltan!

Stay tuned for more information on the celebration event and on how to send the Pokémon that you’ve caught in Pokémon GO to Pokémon HOME!
