September 22nd was the original release date for Destiny 2’s expansion Beyond Light before it got delayed to November due to COVID-19. However, to commemorate that date, Bungie released a new trailer for it yesterday. Europa, the homeplace of the Exos, takes center stage. Not only is it where the Exos are from, but there’s also a “dark empire” growing in power there. Bungie has teased that the moon is full of mysteries buried beneath the surface, with Golden Age tech being one of them. There will be several areas for exploration on Europa, such as: Eventide Ruins, what remains of Clovis Bray’s colony Asterion Abyss, the very tip of Vex structures Cadmus Ridge, the last-known location of the Bray Exoscience facility Charon’s Crossing, the site of Europa’s communication center Destiny 2: Beyond Light releases on November 10th for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Steam, and Stadia. Purchases of Beyond Light on the Xbox One will transfer to the next-generation Xboxes for free with Smart Delivery, and purchases on the PlayStation 4 will upgrade to the PlayStation 5 for free.
