Several announcements of new content and such were made by the Minecraft Dungeons team on Tuesday, and the best part is they will be here in less than a month! First up, Mojang Studios is set to release the Creeping Winter DLC. Much like the Jungle Awakens content that came out in July, Creeping Winter will feature new armor, weapons, as well as artifacts. Instead of hanging out in a cool jungle though, the Creeping Winter DLC “brings a wintry storm that threatens to consume all it touches.” In addition to the DLC, September 8th will also bring a free update to the game adding new merchants and daily trials. A Blacksmith and Gift Wrapper were mentioned in the blog as examples of the new merchants. The Blacksmith will be there to upgrade items for players, and the Gift Wrapper will let you trade items in multiplayer. The Daily Trials are set to provide different challenges every day that will “provide difficult, experimental, or fun challenges” for players to overcome. Box Art for the physical copies of Minecraft Dungeons Finally, if you’re a fan of buying your games physically, Minecraft Dungeons will also release the Hero Edition in boxed form on September 8th for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One. The Hero Edition will include the base game, both the Jungle Awakens and Creeping Winter content, and some cool cosmetics. (Like a cape!) Mojang did note that PlayStation 4 players in Japan will have to wait to get their hands on a physical copy, though, because of production delays. Let us know if you’re excited about the new content! As a reminder, all this cool stuff will be available on September 8th!
