Fatshark has announced Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, a 4-player co-op shooter, set in the hive city of Tertium. Players and their friends will be set against hordes of enemies based on the many threats of the grimdark Warhammer 40,000 universe. Take a look at the trailer below.

The debut trailer showed four people coming into contact with a horde of zombie-like creatures. It is from Fatshark, the same studio that made Warhammer: Vermintide.

Vermintide came out in 2015 with its sequel following in 2018. The games took most of their inspiration from Valve’s Left 4 Dead series, which has four players working together to fight zombies. For those unfamiliar with Warhammer, there are two sides to their worlds. One is a medieval fantasy world while 40k is more in the sci-fi realm. The latter of which is where Darktide takes place.

Just like the Vermintide games, players will use a combination of melee and shooter abilities to take down their enemies.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will be a console exclusive for Xbox Series X when it launches in 2021.
