Halo Infinite is Microsoft’s next huge title. Many are divided after the game’s gameplay reveal but its still a highly anticipated title. With a new reveal showing that Halo Infinite’s multiplayer will be free-to-play.

The leaked image shows that the multiplayer will feature a battle pass system, shoot for 120 fps on Xbox Series X, and will be free to everyone. This does complement Microsoft’s new direction. With the company focusing more on providing the game’s thorough services and many options instead of just 1 platform. Focusing more on constant sources of income instead of just a single purchase. This was seen with Gears 5 where the multiplayer was so heavily monetized that it looked like a mobile game.

We’re seeing this more often since Epic Games popularized the battle pass system for Fortnite. Delivering seasonal content with a premium price attached and you know its serious when Activision hops on the train. Halo Infinite has also been confirmed as a live service, with adds to the fire.  As expected, fans are unhappy with the new direction of the Halo franchise.

None of this has been confirmed by Microsoft.

Halo Infinite will launch this holiday season for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
