Insomniac Games has revealed a follow-up to 2018’s Spider-Man in the form of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Revealed during the Playstation 5 Reveal Event 2020 players will be jumping into the shoes of Miles Morales as he takes on the mantle of Spider-Man.

The trailer features Miles Morales in all his next-gen glory doing what all great Spider-Men do: save the day and look good doing it.

The next-gen game will be releasing this holiday season 2020 on Playstation 5, and if it’s anything like the first game, fans are in for a great time.

UPDATE:

A Sony Executive came out today (6/12) to tell fans that they apologized for the misinformation about the game. They told us it would be an expansion to Marvel’s Spider-Man (2018).

Sony Interactive Entertainment’s EVP head of European Business, Simon Rutter told The Telegraph that Miles Morales would include “major enhancements” to the 2018 PS4 game. He continued with,

“I guess you could call it an expansion and an enhancement to the previous game. There’s a substantial Miles Morales component – which is the expansion element – but also within the game as well there’s been major enhancements to the game and the game engine, obviously deploying some of the major PlayStation 5 technology and features.”

However, Jason Schreier, a reporter for Bloomberg News stated on twitter:
