During today’s PlayStation Revel Event, Sony showed a new IP called Kena: Bridge of Spirits. While it gives off very cute Studio Ghibli vibes there is way more to it than that. Take a look at the official trailer below.

Kena opens on a young girl meditating in the forest, surrounded by tiny, furry black creatures called Rot. She wields a magical staff that can also be a bow and arrow. In the battle against blue-tinged monsters that can take many forms, including a troll-like creature and ent-like trees.

Kena will be a story-driven action adventure with a stunning visual aesthetic combining exploration with fast-paced combat. Players find and grow a team of charming spirit companions called the Rot, enhancing their abilities and creating new ways to manipulate the environment.

Unfortunately, no release window for the game was given as of yet. However, fans can expect more information at the Ember Labs website and here at Gaming Access Weekly.
