Today, during the New Game + Expo, Koei Tecmo showcased a new trailer of the upcoming Fairy Tail JRPG by Atelier developer Gust. The name of the manga and anime series Fairy Tail has nothing to do with princesses in castles or witches cauldrons. For non-fans of the anime, its more about magic users and how friendship is stronger than any magic in the universe, sort of. Here is the new trailer that aired at New Game Plus Expo. We get to see gameplay, cutscenes, characters, features, and even bikinis (the anime does have a few fanservice qualities, but no more than One Piece does). Fairy Tail focuses on the adventures of a fire mage (dragon slayer magic) named Natsu Dragoneel and his Magic guild called Fairy Tail. The game features massive explorable spaces like Magnolia, the home of the Natsu’s guild. The game looks to be on the scale as Dragon Ball Z Kakarot in terms of accuracy to its original source but is handled more on a grid RPG turn-based fighting elements. Fairy Tail is slated for release on July 31st on PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
