Dead by Daylight has been known for adding some classic killers to their already amazing original line up for some time now. However, yesterday Behaviour Interactive announced they will be adding content from the acclaimed Silent Hill franchise to the multiplayer game in the next DLC.

Yes, players will be able to play as Pyramid Head, the malevolent force from the Silent Hill games, as the game’s new Killer. Although they never say the actual name of the killers so Pyramid Head will be known only as “The Executioner.” On the opposite side of things, Cheryl Mason will be added as a Survivor.

Coming up on its fourth-anniversary celebrations, Dead by Daylight now has its second licensed DLC that is based on another video game series, the first being Left 4 Dead.

According to sources, Dead by Daylight game director Mathieu Côté said conversations with Konami about the DLC began around eight months ago. He said that Konami offered guidelines on how the Silent Hill content should be handled while offering the devs freedom to recreate the characters and unique cosmetics. Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka even expressed interest in Dead by Daylight and worked with Behaviour’s composer Michel April to create some new music for the DLC as well.

“They knew what we were trying to do,” Côté said about the conversations with Konami. “They knew what the parameters and limitations and requirements were. So that was really, really easy to do. Also, they were familiar with the project, which helped.”

Players will be able to try out all these two characters and the new Midwich Elementary School map starting on June 16th.
