Nintendo has shared that it will stop servicing the original model of the Wii console.

This update applies to the Japanese market and will no longer be available after March 31, 2020. Nintendo states that sourcing parts required to update the 13-year-old hardware is difficult and these parts are either low in stock or no longer in stock to service machines. The company warns that even if you send in a Wii for service prior to the March 31 deadline they may not be able to repair it.

The Wii originally released in November of 2006.
