Pokemon Sword and Shield launches in a few weeks and today Nintendo revealed new images for Generation 1 Gigantamax Pokemon. Showing off Eevee, Pikachu, Charizard, Butterfree, and Meowth.

Butterfree’s Gigantamax form is my favorite. Sporting large and colorful wings this form allows Butterfree to use G-Max Befuddle that inflicts either sleep, poison, or paralyzed along with bug damage.

Gigantamax Eevee is exclusive to those with a save file of Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee. Here Eevee has a larger mane and can use G-Max Cuddle that infatuates the opposing Pokemon.

Gigantamax Pikachu is exclusive to Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu gamers. This version of the Pokemon franchises’ mascot has a glowing tail and can use G-Max Volt Crash that causes electric damage and can cause paralysis.

Gigantamax Charizard makes the non-dragon Pokemon more of a Dragon. With fore wings and the G-Max move Wildfire that causes fire-damage for 4 turns.

Gigantamax Meowth is terrifying. With a stretch body and large glowing eyes, it looks like something out of Attack on Titan. This Meowth is exclusive to Mystery Gift until January 15th, 2020, and can use G-Max Gold Rush. Similar to Pay Day, you get money at the end of the battle depending on how much damage the attack did.

Pokemon Sword and Shield will release for Nintendo Switch on November 15th.
