The next yearly Call of Duty game is almost here. With that, Activision has released the launch trailer that includes Metallica as the song of choice. The trailer includes your standard cinematic moments to entice customers to purchase, or in this case pre-order, the game. However, the trailer also includes accolades from notorious publications like Digital Foundry. This is weird because publishers usually have a separate accolades trailer for this. It’s likely that the accolades are for drumming up excitement for the title. Call of Duty Modern Warfare has been the news recently, not because of its depiction of real-world war violence in a military game, but progression boosting loot boxes. Which hasn’t been confirmed yet but it’s likely that Activision will put loot boxes after the game’s review period ends, as they did with Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. So we’ll know if it’s true in a few weeks after launch. Call of Duty Modern Warfare launches on October 25 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
