Hideo Kojima revealed the Death Stranding box art at San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend. The images were also revealed on Twitter shortly after. Regular one on the left and steel book one on the right. pic.twitter.com/ub5Wsgr84r — HIDEO_KOJIMA (@HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN) July 21, 2019 Both versions of the box, regular and steel, feature the main character Sam Bridges in what appears to be a before and after scenario. In the regular edition, Bridges is wearing his full porter outfit with the hood up. It also features a shoulder-mounted monster detecting arm deployed. In the Steelbook edition, the hood is down and Bridges’ face is dirty and the monster detector is gone. The pose is the same in both images. Death Stranding is available for pre-order now. The game releases as PlayStation exclusive on November 8, 2019.
