Gearbox Software confirmed at Guardian Con that the Borderlands 3 ping system will be similar to Apex Legends. This will make the co-op mode more accessible in the upcoming shooter.

The Borderlands 3 ping system allows players to mark enemies, NPCs, loot chests and random map locations. If you end up playing with random people online, you do not have to commit to voice chat if you want to communicate with them. Gearbox showed off the feature in the video below.

Other accessibility features include Xbox Adaptive Controller support, re-mappable controls and subtitles/closed captioning options. There is also a system called level syncing, allowing you to play with anyone regardless of level.

Borderlands 3 launches on PC, PS4 and Xbox on September 13. For PC, the game will be exclusively on the Epic Games Store for six months.
