Square Enix has a huge E3 2019 planned this year, with The Avengers Project and Final Fantasy 7 Remake confirmed for the convention. Now, developer Techland has confirmed that Square Enix will be handling publishing Dying Light 2 within the US. We’re excited to partner with the talented folks at @TechlandGames to deliver the highly anticipated #DyingLight2 to the Americas! More to be revealed during our Square Enix E3 Live 2019 event! https://t.co/PoQw4wVGyB #SquareEnixE3 pic.twitter.com/bk2IdtH5Ia — Square Enix (@SquareEnix) May 30, 2019 Techland’s head of marketing Ed Lin said of the move, “We couldn’t be more excited to join forces with Square Enix. This partnership represents an incredible opportunity for both companies to bring Modern Dark Ages to audiences across Americas. Our partnership kicks off this year at E3 and we are looking forward to a great campaign that showcases the fan favorite Dying Light DNA in the expansive and savage world of the infected.” Considering that the first game was published by Warner Bros. Interactive it seems strange that Techland would go with a different publisher. Dying Light 2 is now in development for PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
