Sony and Microsoft, rivals for years, are joining forces for future streaming project and cloud services.

Microsoft’s Phil Spencer expressed his joy with working with Sony in a recent Twitter post:

Sony and Microsoft have already been heavily investing in both cloud services and streaming. With Microsoft move more towards services such as Xbox Game Pass and Project xCloud. And Sony with their own PlayStation Now service. With more gamers leaning towards digital purchases and services its likely that both companies are looking towards streaming games through a premium service instead of making consoles. At least, that’s my guess.
