The Pokemon Company announced an unusual new project called Pokemon Sleep during a press conference Tuesday. The company hopes the app will do the same for sleeping as Pokemon Go did for walking. The app will monitor users’ sleep habits and reward them for the time spent sleeping. 💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤😴💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤Shhh…Trainers. 🤫 Sleeping Snorlax have started to appear in the wild. https://t.co/CK8B38x7Zg pic.twitter.com/OnhaUJbMPz — Pokémon GO (@PokemonGoApp) May 29, 2019 “The concept of this game is for players to look forward to waking up every morning,” said Tsunekazu Ishihara, president and CEO of The Pokémon Company. Pokemon Sleep will use a disc-shaped Pokeball which will act as a sleep monitoring device. The device is still being developed by Nintendo and is called the “Pokemon Go Plus Plus.” It will connect to your phone using Bluetooth. The app will track simple sleep information and record it. Pokemon Sleep is being developed by Select Jump. You can expect it sometime in 2020.
