Since its launch, Anthem has been one of BioWare’s least favorable games of all time. With details about the game’s development exposed by Kotaku, lack of communication with fans, and delayed content. However, today BioWare confirmed that the long-awaited Cataclysm update will be shown tomorrow during a live stream. Unless they have another cable issue. This information update comes after a long silence. With the new update fixing a lot of the issues fans have been plagued with. In addition, BioWare finally explained about the future of Anthem in a community post. Hey Everyone, It’s been a little while! I’m excited to finally share some of what the team has been hard at work on. This morning we are releasing update 1.2.0 – FULL NOTES HERE. This update contains some under the hood content you won’t see right away, but is setting things up for a future update, the Cataclysm. Speaking of the Cataclysm, you’re probably wondering when it is going to release. Rather than rush it out the door, we want to take time and get feedback from you and make changes based on what we hear. In order to do that we are releasing a Public Test Server (PTS) on PC, which will allow you to see the content as it is being developed and gives you the ability to provide feedback. While this won’t immediately solve all of the current issues, we want to continue to hear from you as we make improvements to Anthem – and the PTS is a great way to do that. We’ll be diving deeper into these topics (and others) as well as giving a first look at the Cataclysm tomorrow on a livestream at 3pm Central Time over on TWITCH or MIXER. We do hope you’ll join us as we take this step towards a better Anthem. It remains to be seen if Anthem can recover from its own cataclysm, as even dedicated fans have been dropping the game due to lack of players and the unfavorable loot drop rate. Anthem is now available for PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
