All those rumors about the next Call of Duty being a reboot of the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was completely true. With Activision finally confirming the title for an October 25th release.

Like like past Call of Duty games this generation, PlayStation 4 owners will get 7-day early access to all content. With cross-player between PC and console users also possible.

The trailer above has been well-received by fans but currently, I’m on the fence. As Activision has a notorious reputation for heavily monetizing their games, especially Call of Duty. Remember when they tried to sell DLC for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered and reticles for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4?

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is set to be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC on October 25, 2019. Players who pre-order the game right now will receive an in-game Prestige token for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
