World War Z’s insane difficulty is no joke. The campaign will lower supplies, friendly fire will kill you instantly, and getting down means death. It’s the ultimate challenge but we have some tips for you.

Max Out Your Weapons and Classes

Do not enter attempt Insane unless 90% of your weapons and your preferred class is upgraded. The weapons you use will instantly default to the selection you make in the customization screen. Doesn’t matter if it’s Tier 1 or Tier 3, upgrade your weapons to the maximum level.

Make sure you have a class that is fully upgraded to the final tier. In World War Z, every class has its own strengths and weaknesses. Having a fully upgraded Medic, Gunslinger, or whatever can be life or death.

Aim Carefully

Like I stated before, friendly fire is far more lethal here. Use weapons you’re comfortable with but automatic weapons should be used with a degree of caution. Semi-automatic weapons are a bit safer and are more powerful.

You can avoid firing against anyone by properly communicating with your team. Or you could go solo. Your AI allies will never shoot you, it’s against their code.

Silence if Your Friend

Traditionally, this should be a priority tactic in any option but Insane it’s mandatory. Remaining silent will lead to a lot of easier battles. Going loud, expect to die quickly.

Recommended Classes

Most classes are optional but players should have a Medic and Gunslinger. The Medic, obviously, will provide the best options for healing boosts. The Gunslinger will aid in tracking special infected. On insane, special infected are must more frequent, nimble, and deadly. You don’t want to be ambushed.
