Last year Epic Games and Marvel’s Avengers had a team up expansion. It was only natural that the biggest movie of its time teamed up with the years biggest game, Fortnite. Well, Because of Endgame, the Avengers are coming back to Fortnite, however, though in what form, is still just speculation.

Today, developer Epic teased a crossover event between the two pop culture giants. They did inform us when it will start; On April 25th, a day before Avengers: Endgame hits theaters. Right now, all we have to go on about the crossover comes from a single teasing image of a Fortnite character wielding Captain America’s shield with the tagline “whatever it takes.”

Last year, Marvel brought Thanos to the game for a limited time that let players take on the role of the power-gloved villain. The only thing we can guess is that something similar is on its way, however, this time we might see it based around Captain America’s shield. It’s far off to imagine them putting in both Thanos and an Avenger to have an epic fight if they both make it to the end. Hopefully, fans will also get some sweet superhero skins and emotes as well.

In other recap news for Fortnite, in addition to the Avengers content that is, the game’s map will be undergoing changes. Players are already starting to see a series of strange alien runes steadily make their way across the island. Also, the competitive community is gearing up for the upcoming World Cup in July.
