It won’t be long until the launch of Fire Emblem: Three Houses. So, to give fans a taste of what’s to come, Nintendo dedicated short block of today’s Nintendo Direct to answer your questions about the main characters, the setting, and the release date. The game takes place on a continent known as Fódlan, where three powerful rival countries exist: the Adrestian Empire, the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus, and the Leicester Alliance. However, the Church of Seiros, a religious group, maintains the order of the continent. At the Church’s monastery, there is a school known as the Officer’s Academy, where talented and noble youth from all three kingdoms come to study. This school will serve as the game’s main setting and hub area. Here, you’ll meet the game’s heroes: the heirs to the three kingdoms. So, just who is the main character of Fire Emblem: Three Houses? Just as the past two titles, Awakening and Fates, have done, the protagonist will be a customizable player avatar. This time, the protagonist is a teacher at the Officer’s Academy who will guide and mature these future rulers and the other students. With your help, the students will learn combat prowess and take on real missions with knights. The school is divided into three houses: the Black Eagles, the Blue Lions, and the Golden Deer. Yes, think Hogwarts. Each house is associated with a country and one of its heirs. Pick a house to lead, and you’ll personally oversee the studies of that house. During the game’s last major trailer, we saw an image of a small girl sleeping on a throne of sorts. According to the Nintendo Direct, her name is Sothis. She’s a mysterious figure who only the main character can see, and she shows up from time to time through visions. A revised release date was also announced. Although Nintendo first teased a Spring 2019 release, Fire Emblem: Three Houses will launch for Nintendo Switch on June 26.
