Bethesda recently announced a new game mode coming this March to Fallout 76; a PvP centric “Survival” mode where players no longer have to ask permission to engage in combat with each other.

The announcement has received mixed reactions from its community with players suggesting that Bethesda should be focusing more on stability and end game PvE content to increase the longevity of the game, rather than what is essentially a hard-core mode.

Bethesda’s Community Manager responded to this concern by the community on Fallout 76 sub-reddit that there is PvE content that will soon be revealed which will launch alongside the March Survival update:

“We’re also seeing the thoughts being shared by those of you who’d like to see more PVE content, and while I can’t spoil any details just yet, I will say that Survival mode won’t be the only new content coming to Fallout 76 in March, so stay tuned!” – Valseek – Bethesda Community Manager, Reddit.

Survival mode will be available this March as a beta, which could be subject to change depending on whether they feel the mode is ready to be tested.
