The Last of Us Part II has been mostly an enigma since its reveal, with Naughty Dog and Sony keeping information about the title closely guarded. However, a recent job posting has revealed that the multiplayer component will have an in-game store and custom characters. The full description from the job listing gave the following statement: We are looking for a server programmer who loves constructing a scalable, stable, and secure ecosystem of services for players to enjoy. You will usher them through the entire multiplayer experience, from first login, through matchmaking, and then granting rewards players can use to customize their characters in the store. As one of the caretakers of the live environment, you will be a critical part of the team that launches the game’s services. This shouldn’t come as a surprise considering that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End contained these same features. The Last of Us: Part II is now in development for PS4.
