In addition, users gain access to EA titles earlier than non-subscribed members. Star Wars Battlefront II released last year for Xbox One, PS4, and PC to negative acclaim. The use of predatory loot boxes and pay-to-win systems caused massive uproars within the gaming community. Eventually, EA would overhaul the title but not without having governments around the world taking notice of the loot box system and taking actions against the gambling mechanic.
