Fans of retro FPS games such as Doom, Wolfenstein, and Duke Nukem should check out Ion Maiden. From 3D Realms and Voidpoint this retro-style FPS is seeking to provide a similar experience found in those titles for a modern audience. Now it’s coming to consoles this Q2 2019.

This is made possible thanks to a partnership with 1C Entertainment, allowing gamers to pick up physical copies of Ion Maiden when it launches.

In an official press release CEO of 3D Realms, Mike Nielsen, released a statement regarding the partnership.

“Presenting games like Ion Maiden to all of 3D Realms’ fans is our number one priority,” said Mike Nielsen, CEO of 3D Realms. “Partnering with 1C Entertainment means we can make our dedicated community happier by bringing Shelly to consoles.”

Running at 4K and 60fps those who grew up with titles such as Doom and Wolfenstein will instantly feel at home with  Ion Maiden.

Ion Maiden is set to release in Q2 2019. It’s now available on Steam Early Access for $19.99 in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Russian.
