Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is a fantasy game that released back in 2012. Despite a strong set of reviews from critics and gamers the studio, 38 Studios, went bankrupt. THQ Nordic now owns the rights which means the franchise could come back. We are beyond proud to announce that THQ Nordic has acquired the "Kingdoms of Amalur" IP, among other assets, from 38 Studios.#THQNordic #KingdomsofAmalur pic.twitter.com/YSnXPm7M7e — THQNordic (@THQNordic) September 6, 2018 THQ Nordic has been building its IP library with notorious titles from the formerly bankrupt THQ such as deBlob, Darksiders, and many others. The studio has re-released many of these games as HD remakes and even have a sequel to the Darksiders franchise releasing soon. It’s likely we’ll see an HD remake of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning similar to other IPs acquired by THQ Nordic. The game had an excellent following and if THQ Nordic does decide to re-release the title we could see a new installment.
