Following the news of Telltale’s massive closure fans have been asking about the fate of The Walking Dead: The Final Season. While the company has bewildering explained they’re planning to finish the season without the development team Telltale has decided to remove online purchases of the incomplete season on digital stores.

As of now The Walking Dead: The Final Season has been removed on Xbox Marketplace, PlayStation Store, GOG, and Steam. It’s still available on Nintendo Switch but will likely be taken down as well.

According to a post on GOG “Telltale has requested a temporary pause of sales of The Walking Dead: The Final Season.” This is likely because due to the circumstances the studio won’t be able to finish the season this year as promised.

Currently, the second episode is available and the release date for the third and fourth episodes remain unchanged in the game’s menu. It’s unclear about the fate of the final season but all the information is pointing at a potential cancelation unless another studio picks it up.
