Overwatch for Nintendo Switch “Feasible” According to Blizzard Adam S August 16, 2018 Consoles, Microsoft, News, Nintendo, PC, PS4, Sony, Switch, Xbox One http://www.gamingaccessweekly.com/?s=overwatchAfter confirming the release of Diablo III: Eternal Collection for Nintendo Switch Blizzard’s senior producer Pete Stilwell took the time to speak about other Blizzard titles coming to the Nintendo Switch. According to Stillwell, Overwatch on the Switch is “feasible”. When speaking with Gamespot Stilwell stated: “Anything is within the realm of possibility,” says Stilwell. “Our team was given the task to work on this. If [Overwatch developer] Team 4 picks up that endeavor, that’s on them. As of right now Diablo is our only focus on Switch.” Don’t get excited about a future release just yet. Other titles that were released on the PC, Xbox One, and PS4 then ported to the Nintendo Switch required performance downgrades to make them run properly. For example, Panic Button has to reduce the performance of Bethesda’s Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and Doom 2016 to get the games to run on the Switch. Considering Blizzard’s high standards and the high demand for performance for a competitive game like Overwatch it may not happen.
