Dying Light still has a strong community of players and Techland has been hard at work with a new battle royale mode for players to enjoy while the development team also works on Dying Light 2. With Techland confirming that Bad Blood will enter early access this September.

Bad Blood has 12 players attempting to secure blood samples to earn their ride out of the zombie infested zone. Once collected players can rob and kill one another for the samples.

Those who invest into the $19.99 Founder’s Pack will gain exclusive in-game content, currency, and 3 legendary skins that will be delivered over the course of 3 months. This is because Bad Blood will follow a free-to-play model for PC and consoles.

Maciej Łączny, the executive producer at Techland, said in a press statement:

“We’ve always been keen to add more PvP multiplayer to Dying Light. We’ve read all of the messages from players on social media and forums, and multiplayer has been a hot topic. We’ve also seen how players have embraced Be the Zombie and that inspired us to expand on multiplayer. But we want to do it in the Dying Light way, where this world swarming with infected is just as much a threat as the other players.

“This is how Dying Light: Bad Blood came to life, a game based on these key principles: the freedom and fast pace of parkour movement, the constant threat of the Infected, and the creative brutality of melee combat. Combined they offer an all-new brutal royale experience. Now we encourage the community to help us fine-tune the game before its release.

This early access testing is only available on PC but the full mode will launch on all platforms. Playtests will happen on August 25-26 and September 1-2. Registration is open until August 22nd through the official site. Taking part in the testing will not get you the bonuses for purchasing the early access admission this September.

Dying Light is now available for PC, Xbox One, and PS4. Dying Light 2 is in development for the same platforms.

We had the chance to see Dying Light 2 at E3 2018, check out our impressions here.
