It’s almost time for Shark Week, and Fortnite is getting in on the hype with some special shark-themed items. Shark Week is an annual event on the Discovery Channel with different programs to sink your teeth into. Shark Week has been going strong for 30 years now. Fortnite teased some of the items on their Twitter account Saturday. We got a look at the ‘Chomp Sr.’ outfit (2,000 V-Bucks) and the ‘Chomp Jr.’ pickaxe (1,500 V-bucks). A new emote is also being released. “On the Hook,” (500 V-Bucks) shows your character reeling in a fish, (or shark) and then showing it off. All of the items appear to be cosmetic, which is not a big surprise because that’s just like everything else in the game. Reel in the victory with the On the Hook emote ? Professional athletes including Aaron Rodgers and Lindsey Vonn are teaming up with shark scientists to learn more about shark populations and saving the predator. Gamers can participate in special quests to unlock birthday-themed items and an XP bonus.
