Hold on to your nostalgia as we revisit Raccoon City in the remade horror classic Resident Evil 2 in a gameplay demo of Leon S. Kennedy’s campaign. We get to see in gruesome detail the difference between the remade version and the original. It follows the same storyline of Leon’s finding himself in a zombie-filled city on his first day in the R.C.P.D. with a lot more added, as you will notice in the demo if you survived the classic. The gameplay showed the over-the-shoulder point-of-view mechanic that could leave you disoriented after a zombie tries to take a bite of you and that the horror factor is back. Ammo and health items will be scarce so choose your battles and be aware of inventory. It was also confirmed not everything is where it was in the original version. Resident Evil brand manager Mike Lunn said – “This isn’t just a remake. It’s a whole new game we’re building off the foundation of the original game. So there’s going to be a lot of familiar stuff, but a lot of new stuff as well.” Resident Evil 2 will be running in the same engine in Resident Evil 7 and Clair Redfield will have her very own campaign. Resident Evil 2 will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on January 25, 2018.
