Capcom has officially announced that Mega Man 11, the latest game in the iconic Mega Man series of platformers, will be released on October 2, 2018.

Combining the series’ classic gameplay style with a few new ideas, Mega Man 11 promises to be a familiar, but fresh take on the fabled franchise.

Capcom has stated that fans of the Mega Man series will find the classic, core game mechanics intact. However, they have also made changing abilities quicker and easier with the advent of the weapon wheel. Mega Man 11 will also feature a Double Gear system, which will add a “unique new twist” by allowing players to enhance Mega Man’s power and speed at any time.

In addition. Capcom has released a new trailer for Mega Man 11, in which player can see the Double Gear system in action, as well as catch a glimpse of the new bosses they will be able to take on in the new game.

Mega Man 11 will be released on October 2 for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
