It seems that EA has finally learned their lesson since Star Wars Battlefront II, because, yesterday they announced that their newest installment of Battlefield, Battlefield V, will have no loot boxes.

Electronic Arts told Kotaku, “I can confirm that there are no loot boxes.” The rumor, back in March, was that Battlefield V‘s boxes would contain only cosmetic items, but the statement makes it sound like there will be no loot boxes whatsoever. There will most likely still be ‘in-game money’ that you can earn through gameplay and/or with real money to purchase in-game cosmetics, however, this is just speculation and not confirmed information.

What do you think Battlefield V should have?  Do you want EA to give you boxes or not at all? Tell us in the comments below.
