Divinity: Original Sin 2 is finally coming to consoles, with “much-wanted tweaks and additions.” Console gamers will be able to enjoy Larian Studios’ sandbox RPG adventure, thanks to Larian Studios’ partnership with Bandai Namco. Divinity: Original Sin 2 is a fantasy RPG where character interaction and customization goes so deep. You can basically talk to, kill, trade with, and steal from any friendly NPC in the game. We’ve previously covered this game during last year’s PAX East, and we’re glad that Larian Studios has made good on their plans to launch for Xbox One and PS4. The port will feature both four-player online co-op play as well as two player split-screen co-op modes. Additional modes and features will be announced in the coming months until its release. Larian Studios Founder and CEO, Swen Vincke, offered a quick word about partnering with Bandai Namco, who will operate as the game’s distributor. It was very important to us to have Divinity: Original Sin 2 distributed by a team that understands how to bring RPGs to a broad audience. With Dark Souls and The Witcher, Bandai Namco Entertainment demonstrated they know how to do exactly that and so I’m very happy we’ll have their support. Divinity: Original Sin 2 is now available on PC. Its console release for Xbox One and PS4 will arrive in August.
