During the extensive exclusive coverage provided by Game Informer, we’ve learned a lot about Spider-Man PS4. The latest set of information details the game’s combat system and how it utilizes Spider-Man’s skills and gadgets for a fluid combat experience.

Unlike the Batman Arkham combo systems, Spider-Man PS4 won’t feature a combo-focused combat system. Creative director Bryan Intihar explained that the combat system being used in Spider-Man PS4 focuses more on abilities and movement above a combo counter. Players can use the environment for unique attacks and chain together other tactics base on the player’s choice.

As you progress Spider-Man will gain access to new abilities, gadgets, and suits. Players should expect the same weapon wheel found in another Insomniac Game, Ratchet and Clank.

Spider-Man PS4 releases on September 7th for PS4.
