After being confirmed by Activision’s financial earnings call and a multitude of rumors and hints Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has been officially announced.

The teaser trailer shown doesn’t provide any gameplay footage from the game, instead, using footage from past games in the series. However, it did confirm the new logo to feature the same black and orange color scheme along with the “IIII” symbol. It was also confirmed that Treyarch will be developing this installment.

Activision did confirm the game will launch worldwide this October 12th with a full reveal coming May 17th. Currently, a rumor is circulating that Black Ops 4 will be coming to the Nintendo Switch, considering the mass popularity of the system and sales it’s likely Activision will want to make the latest entry in the Call of Duty series available to millions of Nintendo gamers.
